First off, I received my Westcott 28inch Apollo softbox in the mail this week! I bought the kit off amazon, with the lightstand, softbox, and adapter with cold shoe, but there was no adapter with a cold shoe! I gave amazon a call and they straightened it out though.
I took a few photos when I went down town to shoot the long-exposure light trail photo. I wasn't really happy with the results when I looked on the back of the camera. But in LR2 they came out better than expected. Even for the lack of color variety. Which is what I strive for.

Anyways. I have some incredibly exciting news. I have been presented with two AMAZING opportunities.
First, I am going to shoot my first wedding in August. I will be shooting second under Chris Walters, an Acworth based portrait and wedding photographer. He produces some amazing images so I can not wait to learn as much as I can. Its such a great opportunity to grow as a photograper and I'm excited about the relationship we can form. Secondly, I have been presented with the opportunity to travel to Brazil for 10 days in October in order to photograph and document a student trip for Kennesaw State University. The group is the President's Emerging Global Scholars based out of the Center for Student Leadership. I will be travelling abroad in order to document the group's experience. Not only will I be documenting the experience in Brazil, but also throughout the semester during the groups various activities and community service projects. I am incredibly excited!
And, it may sound a little goofy. But I have my first photo on flickr to reach 100 views!
